Teyana Taylor Brings Artistry to Her First Jordan Brand Collection

• Expanding the culture of basketball for a new generation, choreographer, singer, actress and artist Teyana Taylor is releasing her first capsule collection with Jordan Brand.
• The designs for her Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 and her apparel collection are inspired by one of Teyana’s favorite metaphors: Overcoming a struggle is like a rose rising out of the concrete.

Expanding the culture of basketball for a new generation, choreographer, singer, actress and artist Teyana Taylor is releasing her first capsule collection with Jordan Brand, headlined by an Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2.

The shoe’s design is inspired by one of Taylor’s favorite metaphors: Overcoming a struggle is like a rose rising out of the concrete. Releasing in a white and Gym Red colorway, the shoe features thorns embroidered on one Swoosh and an exaggerated Swoosh that dips beneath the midsole on the lateral side. The custom rose lace lock includes Taylor’s initials at the stem. A similar font style appears on the tongue, spelling out “Tey.”

The accompanying apparel collection includes a mesh top, a fleece pant, tees, tanks, a jumpsuit and more. The collection combines an early-2000s New York aesthetic with Jordan DNA for a look that’s equal parts street and sport.

The Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 x Teyana Taylor and apparel collection releases June 1 on SNKRS and across select global retailers.
