Winner Received Prestigious Award as Part of EAAP 2013

ST. LOUIS, Aug. 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — The 64th annual meeting of the European Federation of Animal Science (EAAP) kicked off in Nantes, France on Monday, August 26th and yesterday the EAAP and Novus proudly recognized the outstanding work of Stephen Moore, the winner of the EAAP’s Young Scientist Competition and recipient of an additional special Travel Award sponsored by Novus.

“Fostering the important work of these talented up and coming leaders in the field of animal science is key to the ongoing growth and long-term success of the industry,” notes Mercedes Vazquez-Anon, Senior Director of Nutrition Research for Novus. “As a company that is firmly committed to a continuum of research that supports and enhances our current knowledge and understanding of animal health and nutrition, Novus is proud to acknowledge the exceptional work of Stephen Moore  that led to the receipt of this award and we wish him continued success with all future endeavours.”

The EAAP partnered with the American Dairy Science Association (ADSA) to create a collaborative competition program. The winner of the EAAP Young Scientist Competition will be provided the opportunity to present their research at the 2014 ADSA JAM. This program benefits the two organizations through exchange of scientific information and recognition of outstanding emerging scientists in various fields. It also provides sponsoring donors an opportunity to meet and interact with future scientific leaders.

The Novus-sponsored Travel Award will cover all travel and accommodation expenses associated with Stephen’s trip to the 2014 ADSA JAM where he will be presenting his winning research.
