Nike Redefines The Look and Feel of Fast Running

Fast is the focus with the launch of three new training and racing shoes that are designed to meet the needs of every runner — from world-class marathoners to those who just want to log their best miles on the weekends. Find out which one is right for you.

FAST ENOUGH FOR RACE DAY, YET DURABLE ENOUGH FOR TRAINING: THE NIKE ZOOM FLY

The Flywire-reinforced lightweight upper keeps you secure as you pick up speed. Lightweight, soft and resilient Lunarlon foam midsole provides highly responsive cushioning and houses a carbon-infused nylon plate that delivers a propulsive sensation. Additionally, the Nike Zoom Fly’s 10-mm offset is designed to minimize Achilles strain and the 33-mm stack height offers impact protection mile after mile. The result is one of the fastest everyday shoes Nike makes.

A SECURE, LIGHT AND QUICK EVERYDAY TRAINER: THE NIKE AIR ZOOM PEGASUS 34

Premium Cushlon ST foam sits over Nike Zoom Air units in the forefoot and heel of the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 34, which balances soft cushioning with support. An updated Flymesh upper is made of lightweight translucent monofilament yarn that contains the foot but allows for ventilation. The radiused heel tapers on the lateral side to promote a natural strike.

BUILT FOR EXPERIENCED MARATHONERS: THE NIKE ZOOM VAPORFLY 4%

Created in conjunction with Breaking2, Nike’s attempt to enable the first sub-two-hour marathon, the Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% was designed with the goal of helping the world’s fastest marathoners run their best. The tooling features new Nike ZoomX foam that is ultra-lightweight, soft and capable of providing up to 85-percent energy return. Embedded within the foam is a full-length curved carbon fiber plate that increases stiffness to provide a sensation of propulsion. Together, these features deliver an average of 4-percent improvement in running economy when compared to Nike’s previous fastest racing flat. A Nike Flymesh upper with midfoot dynamic archband provides zero-distraction containment.

The Nike Zoom Fly and Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 34 are available June 8.

The Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4% in Ice Blue/Bright Crimson/University Red/Blue Fox will be available July 20 at select retailers, Nike+ in North America, and on nike.com in other locations around the world.
