Emirates Unveils First Travel Store in East Asia

  • Emirates launched its first travel store in Hong Kong, aiming to enhance customer access to its services and hospitality in an interactive retail environment.
  • The store features smart technology, a preview of its premium economy class, and promotional offers, underscoring Emirates’ commitment to the Hong Kong market.

Emirates unveils its debut travel shop within the Far East, located in Hong Kong. The launch is the start of Emirates’ expansion of its retail outlets all over East Asia and its global system of stores.

The store is located in the Nexxus Building, & is  a new shopping experience that aims to make Emirates, the company’s products, services as well as its renowned hospitality, more accessible to Hong Kong customers. The store’s concept provides many premium solutions, such as flight reservations as well as ticketing and assistance to customers.

The event’s opening was attended with the presence of Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ top vice-president of commercial operations in the Far East, along with high-ranking officials such as Shaikh Saoud Al Mualla UAE Consul General, as well as Sultan Alriyami, Emirates’ regional coordinator to Hong Kong, & was attended by distinguished guests , trade partners and journalists.

With a total area of 1,500 square feet this retail area has the feel of a lounge that is furnished with contemporary furniture. The space is equipped with four dedicated customer service counters that are staffed by knowledgeable and experienced travel advisors. The self-service kiosks are powered by smart technology to reduce wait times and LED screens show the most recent Emirates promotional offers and products.

The celebration of the store’s opening was a great time to showcase its premium seats. The store opened with its most luxurious Economy class seats for a short period of time offering customers an opportunity to test this highly sought-after cabin. Customers who sign-up for Emirates Skywards using the in-store kiosks before the 31st of July, 2024 are eligible to earn 22,000 additional Skywards miles. There is a selection of officially licensed Emirates items and travel-related accessories are also available to purchase.

Orhan Abbas said, “We are thrilled to inaugurate the first Emirates travel shop within the Far East, here in Hong Kong, to enhance our customer service. Hong Kong holds strategic importance to us and, through the store’s Central Hong Kong travel store We aim to enhance the customer experience when shopping for travel. We also provide Emirates the best customer service at each interaction. By combining cutting-edge technology and personalized services from our experienced travel advisors Our Emirates travel shop provides the most seamless experience and enriching experiences to our clients, which is as per our “Fly better’ pledge.”

Emirates currently runs 21 weekly flights per week that connect Hong Kong and Dubai. In a sign of its dedication to its customers Emirates recently entered into an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Hong Kong Tourism Board to improve inbound tourism to Europe as well as from the Middle East. In addition, Emirates has reopened its new lounge in Hong Kong International Airport and has expanded its chauffeur-driven services to accommodate business class travelers within Hong Kong.
