Amy’s Kitchen Will Soon Launch New Breakfast Items – Here’s What’s on the Menu

Amy's Kitchen

Starting this fall, Amy’s Kitchen fans can fuel up with a brand-new organic frozen breakfast line featuring tofu-based scrambles, burritos, wraps, and more for a protein-packed breakfast.

Now you can have breakfast with Amy’s! On Sept. 19, Amy’s Kitchen announced it will expand its line of organic frozen foods to include a range of flavorful breakfast options. Beginning this autumn, Amy’s fans can pluck a variety of breakfast burritos, wraps, and entrees from the frozen food aisle.

“At Amy’s Kitchen, we’re making it easier for families to start their day with a wholesome, delicious breakfast made from real, organic ingredients,” Fred Scarpulla, chief culinary officer at Amy’s Kitchen, said in a press release.

Organic, Convenient, and Inclusive

A notable feature of Amy’s new breakfast offerings is the use of house-made tofu as an egg alternative. This plant-based substitute serves as the foundation for many of the new items, providing a protein-rich start to the day. Amy’s Kitchen crafts its tofu with organic, non-GMO soybeans using a traditional process, ensuring freshness and flavor in each product.

“By innovatively using our signature tofu in place of eggs, we’re excited to offer delicious morning favorites that are both satisfying and aligned with our commitment to provide quality, flavor and nutrition without any junk,” added Scarpulla in the statement.

Amy’s Kitchen recently gave fans a sneak peek of a protein-packed breakfast plate on its Instagram page, writing, “Our NEW Homestyle Breakfast gets an A++ (and a gold star!) 19g of protein, organic tofu, broccoli & mushrooms, vegan + gluten free, and it’s ready in minutes.”

Good-for-you-details aside, how does the new Amy’s Kitchen lineup taste?

Natural foods chef Cindi Avila gave the brand high praise during a CBS We Are Austin segment highlighting her top back-to-school “must haves.”

“When it comes to food, I think it’s so important to get the day started with a fabulous breakfast,” Avila said. “Breakfast is actually my favorite meal of the day and it really helps kids get the fuel they need on school days. This is why I love Amy’s. Amy’s is a proudly independent, organic food company that caters to those looking for wholesome, home-cooked options to kick-start the morning without the hassle of cooking. There’s a great new line of breakfast items from Amy’s in the frozen foods aisle where they continue to innovate.”Highlights of the breakfast line include:

The California Scramble features tofu “eggs” covered with cheese and served alongside crispy organic hash browns. With 28 grams of protein, it offers up a substantial morning meal.

The Mexican Scramble combines tofu “eggs” with bell peppers and cheese, and provides 25 grams of protein. It’s complemented by sweet corn masa strips, tomato salsa, and spiced black beans.

The Tofu Scramble is a gluten-free and dairy-free option. This entree contains organic tofu scrambled with spinach, carrots, and mushrooms. Served with hash brown potatoes and tomato salsa, it delivers 20 grams of protein.

The Gluten Free Tofu Scramble Wrap is a versatile, dairy-free breakfast choice chock-full of savory scrambled organic tofu, hash browns, and a vegetable medley. It’s designed to be enjoyed at various times throughout the day.

The Ranchero Burrito comprises a tofu scramble, cheddar cheese, organic potatoes, and black beans, all covered in Amy’s signature ranchero sauce with a mild kick and wrapped in a flour tortilla.

The Scramble Wrap features scrambled tofu, organic vegetables, hash browns, cheese, and sour cream, all wrapped in a house-made wheat tortilla.

Amy’s Kitchen has long been recognized for accommodating various dietary needs and preferences. The new breakfast line continues this tradition, with all items being free from eggs, meat, seafood, and peanuts. This approach allows a wide range of consumers to enjoy these morning meals, regardless of their dietary restrictions.

The company’s commitment to quality is evident in its use of organic, non-GMO ingredients across the entire breakfast line. This aligns with Amy’s Kitchen’s longstanding philosophy of providing nutritious options without compromising on taste or convenience.

Consumers can expect to find these new breakfast items in select grocery stores nationwide beginning in September. The products will be available at various retailers, including Albertsons, Giant Eagle, Harris Teeter, Publix, Meijer, Target, Wakefern, and Whole Foods. However, product availability may vary by location.

The suggested retail prices for Amy’s Kitchen breakfast items range from $3.99 to $6.69, positioning them as accessible options for consumers seeking high-quality, organic breakfast alternatives.

This expansion into the frozen breakfast category represents a significant step for Amy’s Kitchen. The company, which already offers over 135 varieties of organic frozen and packaged foods, continues to broaden its product range to meet consumer demands for easy prep food.

Amy’s Kitchen’s approach to creating these breakfast items reflects broader trends in the food industry. The focus on plant-based proteins, organic ingredients, and accommodating various dietary needs aligns with growing consumer preferences for healthier, more sustainable food options.

The introduction of this breakfast line also demonstrates Amy’s Kitchen’s ability to adapt to changing consumer needs. By offering frozen breakfast options, the company addresses the increasing demand for quick, nutritious morning meals that fit into busy lifestyles without sacrificing quality or taste.

“Our new frozen breakfast line delivers convenience, but with the homemade taste you’d expect from your own kitchen,” Scarpulla added
