A Fairytale Festive Season at The Langham, London

This festive season, The Langham, London’s award-winning creative team magic up enchanting indulgences to celebrate the most glittering time of year. With its unrivalled location at the top of Regent Street, Europe’s first ‘Grand Hotel’ is the perfect spot to embrace the West End’s seasonal attractions, yet it offers a haven of elegance and tranquillity with bars and restaurants that are the fairest of them all.In Roux at The Landau, the hotel’s signature restaurant operated in partnership with Albert and Michel Roux Jr, Chef de Cuisine Chris King will prepare a sumptuous Christmas Day feast with favourites such as roast Appeldore Farm turkey with honey poached cranberries and marjoram stuffing with traditional garnishes and Albert Roux’s home-made Christmas pudding with brandy sauce. The six-course Christmas Day lunch is priced at £225.00 per person.For New Year’s Eve revellers, an exquisite seven-course tasting menu will showcase the Roux trademark style of classically constructed dishes presented in a contemporary style featuring squab pigeon with parsnips, sour cherries and roast pistachios and butter-roast fillet of Scotch beef with glazed salsify and smoked onion soubise. All accompanied by the music from renowned jazz duo, Nigel Price and Miles Danso. Roux at The Landau’s New Year’s Eve dinner is priced at £245 per person.

Rather than making the journey home, guests can treat themselves to a luxurious guestroom and sleep soundly in the Langham Blissful Bed and awake to a traditional English breakfast. Festive Break packages are priced from £280 per night based on two people sharing.

Palm Court is famed as the birthplace of the afternoon tea tradition. UK Pastry Chef of the Year Cherish Finden miracles up a celebratory Festive Afternoon Tea with sittings at 1.00pm and 3.15pm. Indulgent finger sandwiches include crayfish and fennel with dill and mustard and also smoked Scottish salmon with cucumber and horseradish. Warm plain and golden raisin scones served with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry preserve follow and then an array of pastry delicacies including a mandarin orange dome with golden star. Festive Afternoon Tea is priced at £43 per person. Be sure to bring a camera to capture Cherish’s annual stunning surprise pastry masterpiece adorning the room.

Recipient of ‘World’s Best Bar’ accolade, Artesian, the chic and glamorous bar designed by the late David Collins, is the perfect rendezvous for a festive libation. Multi-award winning Head Mixologist Alex Kratena conjures up classic and imaginative cocktails including a unique festive offering ‘Winterfall’. Its beautiful deep red colour combines Becherovka (a herbal liqueur) with chocolate essence to get your evening off to a swing or the perfect night-cap to toast a memorable evening. ‘Winterfall’ is priced at £16.50.
